(Scripture references are from the New King James Version.)
July 26, 2010"Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." (Colossians 2:8)
Whenever we accept anything for our life that is contrary to God's Word; or travel down any path that is contrary to God's Word, we are being "cheated." That which is contrary to God's Word may sound "good and reasonable" to the human mind - it may make sense - but in reality it is "empty deceit." If we accept it, WE will be the loser(s), because it is WE who will have been cheated by the enemy.

Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ “This is the first and great commandment. “And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (NKJV)

The audio sermons will no longer be found at this website. Instead, www.sermonaudio.com will be the site that carries them. You can search that site for "Balsam Bible Chapel". (I believe www.sermonaudio.com/fknoop is the actual website address.)
